Alone against of the world

Did you notice it? The massive dip in internet traffic today when “piracy haven” Sweden finally outlawed the downloading of copyrighted files. Well, no, off course not. All systems are still Go! – working five by five. Leading Swedish anti-piracy spokesman Henrik Pontén (Antipiratbyrån) had his excuses lined up and waiting, blaming everyone from the Justice Minister to the data protection agency to the “criminal” public. “The forces that are fighting to keep this illegal behaviour are incredibly strong.” Forces? What forces? Maybe he’s been watching Star Wars and meant to say that the Force is strong with them. Ah, I don’t know. He felt alone and utterly forsaken though... Public Enemy pretty much summed up the whole non-issue the best: “Give it up, give it up, give it up yo \ Give it up, give it up, gotta give it up \ yeah, you gots ta give it up now”. Not the sharing, silly, just the trying to stop the rain from falling. Law or no law, it's just not going to happen.

Stupidity continuously rules the anti-pirates, ok?
